Out Patient Rehabilitation

The outpatient therapy unit at TCH offers physical, occupational and speech therapy to both acute and non hospitalized patients.  The focus of outpatient rehab is to help patients regain the physical and mental capacities needed to participate in their daily activities.  The department is equipped with various types of exercise equipment, a whirlpool for wound care and a kitchen and bathroom designed to help patients relearn basic life skills.      Unlike the extensive three-hour inpatient therapies, outpatient therapy is conducted in 30 to 60 minute sessions for two to six weeks, depending on the type and severity of the disorder.
